A WINNING start set the scene for a great day's racing as Silsden Formula 600 rider Matt Horne revelled in the Bank Holiday sunshine on Monday.
Horne opened up with a convincing win at Mallory Park in the 1300 production Class heat and blasted to an easy victory in the Formula 600 heat to guarantee front row starts for the finals.
However, he wasn't to have things all his own way and had to settle for a hard fought third place in the 1300 Production final, scoring valuable points in the Master of Mallory Championship.
Starting from pole position in the Formula 600 race he left the opposition trailing to grab a maximum 20 points and extend his lead in the championship.
He has been joined by two new sponsors with Encore Security and A1 Truck Dismantlers supporting the team.
