The western area of Bradford metropolitan district was struck by a violent thunderstorm last night with high winds, torrential rain and hailstones in places. At Clayton Heights the Old Dolphin pub was floded out and a house in Keighley was struck by lightning. The rest of the district was for the most part untouched.
