A heartbroken teenager was today mourning a double tragedy - the loss of his loving brother just days after the gran who looked after them died.

Aaron Feeley was killed when the Suzuki Vitara he was driving was involved in a horror smash on Canal Road.

The 18-year-old died when the car was in collision with a BMW at the junction with Bolton Lane late on Thursday.

Today Aaron's brother Brendan, of Bolton, Bradford, paid tribute to the teenager who he said was also his friend.

And for heartbroken Brendan the trauma is a double tragedy - his grandmother Mary Feeley died just days ago at the home the three of them shared.

Mrs Feeley collapsed and died suddenly at home in Pirie Close and was discovered by a shocked Aaron.

"My gran had just died and he was just going to Tesco to do some shopping when the crash happened," Brendan said.

Fighting back the tears at the home he shared with Aaron and his gran, 19-year-old Brendan said he was in shock with the tragedy but was being comforted by friends.

"I have had a lot of people round so far.

"Everyone around here knew Aaron," added Brendan, who works for Polar Ford.

Aaron - known as Bezza to friends - worked as a gas and servicing engineer.

And Brendan travelled to Bradford Royal Infirmary to visit a friend of Aaron's who was also injured in the fatal crash.

The crash saw a passenger in the BMW cut free by firefighters.

She was taken to BRI and released after treatment.

The front-seat passenger in the Suzuki was in a satisfactory condition in hospital last night.

Police today renewed their appeal for witnesses to the crash at 11.10pm.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Bradford North Police on (01274) 376259.
