A gang of thieves who steal items to order have struck at a pine furniture shop for the second time.
In the latest raid the burglars smashed their way into the showroom at Cross Roads and stole a carved oak fire surround and cast iron inset, along with a few smaller carved items worth a total of £1,500.
Just before Christmas four men wearing balaclavas broke down the door of Cross Roads Pine Furniture, Haworth Road, and stole a valuable rocking horse.
The business was opened about four years ago by husband and wife team Chris and Lorraine Robinson.
Lorraine said: "We live just around the back, overlooking the business. I saw the first raid happen. It was unbelievable, four men in balaclavas stealing a rocking horse.
"It was more or less the same this time. It was around 4am on Friday when I woke up. I don't know why but something must have disturbed me.
"I looked out of the window and could see three men loitering near the shop."
She said: "It was light. At first I thought they were waiting for a lift. But two other men appeared. They were all wearing black gloves.
She added: "Then I heard glass smashing and the alarm go off. We got dressed quickly and jumped in the car ready to give chase but they had gone."
Lorraine said: "This time it is much worse as they have smashed the window, which when replaced will need signwriting again.
"The last time we paid for the damage out of our own pockets. But this time we will have to claim on the insurance. Glass has flown everywhere, damaging the stock.
"The fire surround was extremely heavy and would have taken some lifting. It will have been damaged getting it out. They also broke off a corner of the cast iron inset."
One theory being investigated is that the same gang is responsible for both incidents.
Said Lorraine: "The police have said they think it could well be the same team. Once again it looks as though they have stolen items to order."
Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the suspects in the vicinity of the shop, around the time of the incident, to get in touch.
The men were wearing dark clothing, but one had a white hooded top.
Information is also being sought about a small pale blue van spotted leaving the scene.
