THE Cobbydale Singers perform a concert at Keighley Shared Church on June 14 as part of Keighley Festival.

The 16-member ladies' choir was formed in 1994 by six friends asked to sing at a Silsden disabled club.

The choir now sings mainly in the Airedale and Craven areas but has appeared as far afield as Lytham.

Last year the choir spent a weekend in Germany as a guest of the Blumenheck Mixed Voice Choir in Phortzeim.

nA Tale of Two Sofas is the latest play to be performed by the junior section of Keighley youth theatre HYT.

H-Club presents the short production -- based on ideas from the cast -- on June 19-21 as part of Keighley Festival. The 7.30pm performances will be in the Central Methodist Hall, next to Keighley Shared Church between Morrisons and Church Green.

nA dozen frames but just two artworks are displayed in Haworth artist Chris McCarthy's latest exhibition.

Each of the pictures in the village's Tourist Information Centre are made up of six frames.

The largest of the two being displayed from next Monday -- Zoom or Fix -- is about 12 metres long.

Chris, of Oak Street, has offered the rest of his exhibition space to two young local artists showing pictures for the first time.

Chris, whose display runs for two weeks, says: "I think the public will be pleasantly surprised by what they see."

The artist, elected to Haworth Parish Council earlier this month, was recently made a Fellow of the Millennium association.

He will return to his favourite exhibition space, the New Delight near Hebden Bridge, to display new work from July 7 to August 4.
