Controversial couple Christine and Neil Hamilton decided to dine somewhere special to celebrate their wedding anniversary - in Bradford.
Christine and her husband Neil, a former MP, were in the city to support The Girls Grammar School, Bradford's fundraising appeal yesterday.
They were also celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary.
The event was held at the Midland Hotel and was organised as part of the school's appeal to raise £500,000 for a state of the art astro pitch sport facility.
The school has already raised £200,000 and expects to add another £10,000 to the appeal from the luncheon. VIP tickets were sold for £55 and corporate tickets cost £40.
Prices included a drink reception and sit down lunch.
The event was sponsored by businesses, including the Midland Hotel and Anam's Restaurant.
Lynda Warrington, head teacher at the school, said: "There were two reasons for organising today's event. Firstly, to raise funds for the astro pitch, but also to give us the opportunity to network with businesses in Bradford and promote the school within the community."
Christine Hamilton was booked for the event after a brainstorming session of the Governors at the school.
"We wanted a personality for the event and who better than Christine? I am sure she kept everyone entertained," said Moira Hinkles, deputy head at the school.
Christine didn't have a speech planned for the event. "I just talked about anything and everything and keep going till they told me to stop," she said.
Christine Hamilton's career as an entertainer soared after appearing on ITV's I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.
Since then she has been making regular television and radio appearances and is regularly hired for public speaking.
"Neil and I are a bit of a double act, although it's me speaking today we often do events such as these together," she said.
"We are delighted to be here today to support the school's appeal. Neil and I both love Yorkshire and we actually met here so it is very significant that we are here today celebrating our anniversary," she added.
