An 89-year-old woman died after she was involved in a road accident, an inquest heard.
Edith Robinson was crossing Collier Road in Baildon last November when she appeared to keel over and fall.
She was rushed unconscious to Bradford Royal Infirmary after the teatime incident but died the following day.
A post mortem examination showed the pensioner, who came from Springfield Road, Baildon, died from a head injury and a fractured skull.
Accident investigator Alan Broadbent told Bradford Coroner's Court that the corner of a car had collided with Mrs Robinson.
But motorist Beryl Kirk denied such claims, saying there was "absolutely no impact whatsoever".
She said she turned her car into Collier Lane at a low speed and saw Mrs Robinson walking briskly across the road.
The 73-year-old woman described how she then managed to avoid her by swerving to the left. "I'm perfectly sure I didn't hit her. I knew there could have been an accident and I pulled up immediately," she added.
Deputy Coroner Mark Hinchliffe said he rejected her evidence and concluded there was a collision, but ruled out excessive speed.
A verdict of accidental death was recorded.
