These are the faces of two men wanted for the double rape of a teenager at a 'lovers' lane' in Bradford.

The 18-year-old victim had enjoyed a night out with friends in the city centre when she was picked up in a car, driven to the isolated spot and subjected to the appalling attack.

Since then, the brave young woman has worked with detectives to draw up these two e-fit images of her attackers.

Her ordeal began at around 12.30am when she got into a car - thought to be a J-registered white Vauxhall Cavalier - containing two Asian men. Once she was inside, they drove to Roper Lane in Queensbury, a spot known locally as a "lovers' lane."

After pulling up in a lay-by, around 300 yards from the Raggalds pub, the men began violently attacking her, punching her in the face and kicking her in the back. It is understood that both men then raped the terrified woman some time between 1am and 2am.

Once the attack was over, they pushed her out of the car and drove off, abandoning her by the roadside.

Eventually she managed to flag down a passing car which took her to the Tyrls police station in the city centre.

Detective Constable Dave Smith, who is heading the investigation, confirmed that the woman had been subjected to a "serious sexual assault".

She has since been offered counselling and been interviewed by specialist officers in a effort to gain more information about her attackers.

Det Con Smith said: "We are appealing to anyone who knows two men who associate together and who fit these descriptions and have access to a car, believed to be a white J-registered Vauxhall Cavalier, to come forward. The victim was left badly traumatised by this attack and we would urge anyone with information to get in touch."

An appeal for information in later editions of yesterday's Telegraph & Argus has failed to produce any significant leads so far, he said.

Anyone with information should contact Bradford North CID on (01274) 376259.
