Pupils at a Keighley school have been given the chance to reach for the sky with a new playground activity.
Children at Parkwood Primary School returned from their half-term break to find a new climbing wall adorning one of the playground's walls.
Break times will now give children the chance to become mountaineering pioneers after a series of plastic grips and holds were added to the wall.
Head teacher Julie Butler said it was an exciting addition to the playground.
She said: "We decided to put it up to give the children more activities at playtime.
"We had seen it in a magazine and we thought it was something fun and something different for the children."
The rare piece of equipment has been welcomed by the children, who used the new wall as soon as the holds were installed.
Mrs Butler added: "It has been really well received and it has really added to playtime -- the children have taken to it straightaway."
The new apparatus was launched by climber and supplier Tim Wager, who gave a talk to the children at an assembly and demonstrated how to use the wall.
