Year six pupils at St Joseph's Primary School were treated to a day of activities this week. The pupils were joined by children from other primary schools around the Keighley area for a day of activities based around a wild west theme.
Activities included line dancing, a food corner, a quiz about the pupils and a raffle, with teachers getting into the spirit of things by dressing as cowboys and Indians. The event has been held annually for the last three years and is designed to ease the transition from primary school to Holy Family Upper School.
Pupils from Our Lady of Victories, St Anne's, Eastwood, St Mary's, St Andrew's, and Sutton CP and C of E schools all participated in the event.
The children were encouraged to leave their normal friendship groups and meet other children who will be in the same year group next year. The event is funded by the various schools taking part, combined with a donation from Keighley's Workouts Health Club.
