Police are becoming increasingly concerned about the welfare of a Sutton man who set off to walk to Airedale Hospital and hasn't been seen since.
John Shackleton (left), 59, set off from his home in Wighill Street on Monday morning to walk to the day centre for an appointment.
However, Mr Shackleton has not been seen since he set out at about 10.30am on the mile-long journey.
Police say he is considered vulnerable because he can become confused. Mr Shackleton suffers from dementia and loss of memory.
Extensive enquiries and searches involving local and task force police officers, dog teams and volunteers from the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue have failed to find any trace of Mr Shackleton, who is a keen walker.
Mr Shackleton is 5ft 11in tall, with blue eyes and short white hair.
On Monday he was wearing light grey trousers, a blue shirt, black shoes and a stone coloured jacket.
Anyone who has seen him or has any information about his whereabouts should contact Skipton Police on 01609 783 131 or 01756 793377.
