Police this week continued their search for missing Cullingworth pensioner Peter Butterfield.

Officers on Monday evening scoured woods at Hawksworth for the 72-year-old, who has been missing since leaving his Roydswood Terrace home on May 10.

Mr Butterfield suffers from depression and high blood pressure and needs to take regular medication, which he does not have with him.

His family and police are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

When last seen he was wearing a green jacket, beige trousers, two cardigans, black boots and a silver wristwatch.

There have been reported sightings of Mr Butterfield at Round Hill, Hawksworth, on Sunday, May 18, and on the first fairway at Hollins Hall golf course on May 25.

Mr Butterfield has been missing previously -- in 1998 -- and on that occasion was found in the Hollins Hill area after living rough for three weeks.

Anyone who sees Mr Butterfield or has information is asked to contact Keighley police on 01535 617059.
