The truth behind a famous hidden street is to be revealed.
Bev Socas will be hosting a programme of talks into the history and curiosity of the Royal Arcade, Low Street, Keighley,. starting this weekend.
The owner of High Spirits, based in the arcade, said: "There will be an introductory talk into the stables, bake house and famous seven hidden shops beneath the arcade.
"We are all hoping funding is found to open the mysterious Keighley hidden street late next year. It is something that is very strange so we hope a lot of people who are interested will come for the tours."
Visitors will be unable to see the "underground street", and shops discovered when regeneration work was under way, because of health and safety reasons. But much of its history, including photographs will be uncovered.
Some of its history still remains a secret and Bev hoped people with further information would continue to come forward.
She added that the arcade would open its doors to the public at the end of month when a new shopping precinct opened.
The 16 new shops will include a caf, hair salon and a number of other stores. The top floor has also been renovated and a number of flats have been built.
Tickets for the tour, which start at 11am and 3pm on June 15, 16, 21 and 22, cost £2. There are a number of other walks discovering secret Bradford in the area as part of Bradford Festival.
Two of the tours look at old Haworth. From 7pm on June 14, 15, 21 and 22, Philip Lister will give a bone chilling tour of Haworth graveyard. Tickets for the walk, which starts at Haworth Tourist Information Centre, are free.
And Andrew McCarthy will be talking about 19th century Haworth, introducing not only the Bronts but other characters from the village. The tour starts at 1pm from the Bront Parsonage Museum and runs on June 16, 19 and 20.
