The teenage rider of a motorcycle who died when it crashed minutes after being stolen has been named.
Antony Tidswell, 18, of Holme Wood, Bradford, died nearly five hours after falling from the Suzuki 1000cc machine on a downhill right-hand bend approaching Dewsbury. The bike had been stolen from a private house in Mirfield.
His pillion passenger, an 18-year-old from Bradford, was hurt when he fell from the bike.
Both were taken to Dewsbury District Hospital but Mr Tidswell was transferred to Leeds General Infirmary, where he died. An inquest was opened in Bradford on Tuesday.
His passenger was detained in hospital for 24 hours and has been arrested and interviewed by police.
Police are still seeking witnesses to the accident, which happened just after 1am last Friday at Webster Hill, Huddersfield Road.
