Keighley CC could not dislodge the final pair as Brighouse held out for a draw at Lawkholme on Saturday.
Opener Lee Gordon scored a superb 70 and was backed up by Steve Reape and Robert Hopkinson who each scored 32 as they reached a total of 166-6.
For once Reape was kept at bay by the Brighouse batting line-up and had to settle for two wickets in his 13-over spell.
Ross Towler collected four wickets at a cost of 22 runs in a tight 14-over spell.
Brighouse were in trouble after losing eight wickets for 81 runs, and the ninth wicket fell with 90 on the board. the last pair then held out to deny Keighley maximum points butthe 'winning draw' promoted them to second in the table behind Saltaire.
Paul Wilkinson scored 128 not out as the second team pulled off a 98-run victory over Hartshead Moor.
He batted throughout the innings as the team secured a total of 205-8.
A Birkett then stepped up to take four wickets as the home side were dismissed for 107.
