A SUPERB century from opener Chris Binks saw Horsforth overcome the Olicanians' total of 237-7 with six wickets in hand.

Excellent batting from Andrew Murray (64), Ross Veitch (69) and Phil Hall (44 no) gave Olicanians a good score of 237-7 but their bowlers were unable to hold Binks in check.

He and Ben Williams (84) put on 171 for the second wicket as the Olicanians' bowlers toiled.

Ben Rhydding picked up another six points after an excellent bowling performance had seen Woodhouse dismissed for 74.

Nick Winterbottom returned 4-8 and then hit an unbeaten 34 to take the starring role.

Illingworth seam bowler Alex Ledger captured nine wickets as Upper Wharfedale were dismissed for 100. He then hit the winning runs batting at number ten. His nine wickets came at a cost of 40 runs off 22.4 overs.

After a solid batting display the previous week Pool Mills were confident of another big total when they won the toss and elected to bat at Bolton Villas.

Sadly they were disappointed. Keith Wilkinson and Tony Smith worked hard to establish a reasonable base at 35-1 but a catastrophic middle order collapse saw six wickets fall for just six runs.

There was no way back from this and Mills limped to a paltry 68 all out.

The one bright spot of the day was a fine spell of bowling from Patrick Parker, who had the Villas batsmen in all sorts of trouble.

He was unlucky not to take several wickets in his nine overs which went for just eight runs.

Mick Kershaw also bowled well, taking 1-25 from 11.4 overs, but it was too little too late for Mills.

More application with the bat is needed if they are to avoid becoming terminally detached from the rest of the division.

Addingham gained a five wickets win over Alwoodley thanks to an excellent innings off 91 from skipper Sean Atkinson as he opened the innings.

Alwoodley had been dismissed for 164 as John Yeadon, Simon Farrand, Ben Silverthorne and Chris Campbell each bagged two wickets.

Atkinson lost his opening partner Neil Freeman for just one run but he persevered and gained support from Jamie Barrow, who made 25, and victory was gained with just 13 balls remaining.

Skipton continued to harvest hopes of promotion netting a further six points from a home win against Colton.

Batting first Skipton made 231-5 with opener S Carling striking a superb 91 which laid the foundations for his side's good score.

He gained support from Robert Dilger with 35, Rob Walker with 31 not out and Z Iqbal with 29 not out.

Colton opener N Thackray made a brave attempt with 42 but lacked support as Iqbal struck to devastating effect taking 7-44 off 16.5 overs.

This saw Colton reduced to an all out 146 giving Skipton a victory by 85 runs.
