Once again Ben Rhydding crashed to defeat having meekly submitted to the Woodhouse slow bowlers after being in a position of dominance.
Rhydding were given an excellent start in their quest to overtake a modest total of 129 set by the home side.
Richard Holland and Richard Martin looked in total control and eased the score along to 43 without loss before Martin was adjudged lbw after being 'caught' trying to play off the back foot in front of his stumps.
There then followed an extraordinary procession of dismissals, characterised by injudicious stroke play, which saw the Ben Rhydding middle order decimated for a paltry 20 runs. Only admirable resistance from Steve Rae, Phil Wheatley and particularly Peter Taylor (16no) gave the score respectability at 104 all out.
Sadly all this followed a splendid performance by Ben Rhydding's bowlers and fielders in which Ray Smith record career best bowling figures taking with 9-40 off his 13 overs.
Solid batting from Guiseley gave them a six wickets win over Ilkley who had fallen for 170 with young James Finch taking four for 25.
A miserable weekend for Burley saw a first league reverse at Pool but despite this loss they remain top of Division B.
Bruce Robertson claimed five for 36 as Burley fell for 175 and then Tracy Mahoney hammered 74 not out and Dickie Bolton (53).
