A widow was assaulted and threatened with a weapon by two robbers who tricked their way into her home.
The incident happened at 10pm on Friday in sheltered accommodation in Carr Street, Birstall.
The victim - a 74-year-old woman - was tricked into opening her flat door by the two men who had managed to get in to a communal hallway.
The woman was attacked and threatened with a weapon. Cash and jewellery were stolen. She received facial injuries not thought to be serious.
The suspects were described as white, in their late 20s, 5ft 6in to 5ft 8in tall, with short, dark hair. Both spoke with local accents.
