THE Wharfedale Junior bowls team was successful in their game on Saturday at Rufford Park when they beat Bradford 5-2.
This year's Wheatley Trophy concludes on Tuesday with the final between Rawdon A and Guiseley A at Farsley Bowling Club with a start time of 6.45 pm.
Airedale and Wharfedale clubs involved in the second round of the Yorkshire County Parks Brotherton Cup include Guiseley A who play Littlemoor B at Lister No 1, Baildon A who play Clayton Victoria A at Bowling Park, Burley-in-Wharfedale A who play Morton House at Lister No 2, Rufford who play Asa Briggs at Shipley Club and Shipley Club B who play Crossroads at Myrtle Park. All games start at 6.45 pm.
Local greens are being used for this year's Yorkshire Pairs Merits. Greenbottom, Wharfemeadows and Yeadon Park are involved with the preliminary rounds on Sunday, June 22. The final will be played at Rufford at 34 pm.
The preliminary rounds of the Arthur Maude Junior Cup Competition will be played at Tarnfield Bowling Club, Yeadon, on Sunday, June 22. A total of 27 entries have been received and games start at 10.15 am.
The finals will be at Burley Park in Leeds on Sunday, August 31.
Monday Evening Singles positions are: Farsley A 139 points, Guiseley A 134, Rufford A 120, Rodley 104, Woodside A 99, Wharfemeadows A 90, Rawdon A 85, Pudsey BC A 84, Ilkley A 69, Grove Hill A 66.
