Some excellent batting from rugby players Anthony Cadman (67) and Mark Luffman (61) set up an Ilkley score of 203 for nine.

This proved too big a target for Knaresborough who settled for two points from a draw with 160 for eight.

R Tattersall was their best performer with the bat making 45 as his colleagues struggled against the in form Anthony Giles who stashed another five wickets in his locker.

Kirkstall Educational look set to celebrate their 150th anniversary with promotion. They currently lead the way in Division B after their four wickets win over Tong Park.

Kirkstall hold a two points lead over a Rawdon side anxious to return to the top flight.

Kirkstall dismissed Tong Park for 127 with M Hodgson bearing the brunt of the work with a 23 over spell for which he got the reward of six for 55. Neil Walmsley gave excellent support with three for 22. Opener S Harrison then steered his side to victory with an unbeaten knock of 68.

Rawdon took all six points from their clash with Silsden who had made a useful 202 for six. This was in the main thanks to the efforts of opener Darren Crook. The Kiwi smashed 91 and gained support from John Akrigg (32) and C Meehan (28 no).

Craig Walsh set out in determined fashion carving out 56 runs as Rawdon edged towards victory but their real star was century maker Bruce Percy. This pair shared a second wicket stand of 128.

Captain Phil Dibb was Pool's inspiration as they gained a resounding 76 runs win over Thackley.

He hit a fine 44 as they totalled 211 for nine and then took four for 19 off a superb spell of 12 overs. Steve Wood with three for 29 gave support as Thackley fell for 135.

Dibb had excellent support whilst batting from David Murphy (38) and Steve Wood (33).

This win keeps Pool in the promotion hunt just four points behind Rawdon in third place.

Thackley on the other hand are looking relegation candidates with just seven points. They languish second bottom just two points above Bardsey.

Harden were kept third bottom after a fine century from Chris Wheeler had given Burley the full points.

Harden made a more than useful 214 for eight thanks to a fine 68 from S Hudson.

The Burley bowlers had toiled somewhat but Nick Brook took five for 69 off 25 overs. Wheeler opened the Burley innings and was there at the close with an unbeaten 101 as Burley coasted to a seven wickets win.

He gained good support from fellow opener Richard Brook who hit 40 and was the dominant force in an opening stand of 63.

Burley lost two cheap wickets but then Simon Tweddle showed some of his best form in an unbeaten 59.

Calverley bagged all six points when they visited Bardsey. Batting first Calverley were restricted to 163for eight by some good bowling from Nick Ryder (5-65).

Bardsey lost two quick wickets but S Bowes hit back with a good knock of 53 and together with Gary Hopton (32) put on 75 for the third wicket.

This looked to be turning the match but from 92 for two Bardsey collapsed to 155 all out as J Hanson nipped in with a magnificent seven for 27 haul off 11.5 overs.
