Menston suffered their first setback of the season in the Airedale and Wharfedale League when they were defeated by North Leeds on Saturday.
And Bilton took advantage to clamclaim top spot after their win over Otley.
A North Leeds side which contained three sets of brothers - Tim and Guy Hollis, Barry and Mark Singleton and Rob and Dave Winter - dismissed Menston for a modest 133 in reply to their 192 for five.
Barry Singleton top scored for North Leeds with 43 and gained good support from opener Rob Winter (38), Dave Winter (22) and wicketkeeper Nigel Leech (22no).
Although Richard Burton hit a half-century Menston never got to grips with the bowling of Nick Richardson (4-46 off 19 overs) and Australian Phil Valentine (5-50).
Bilton on the other hand held all the aces against Otley. Luke Jarvis claimed a superb five for 36 off 15 overs as Otley were restricted to 168 for eight with only opener Sam Smith showing any real resistance with an unbeaten 71.
With opener Miles Corish hitting 50 and Stephen Philips an unbeaten 92 Bilton, they coasted to an eight wickets win in 33 overs.
Guiseley are now chasing hard in third place ten points adrift of Menston but Collingham's total of 229 for seven was too big a target for them and they fell short at 193 for six in reply.
In a bowling attack which lacked former Northumberland star Peter Graha, Andrew Paley proved to be the best of the Guiseley bowlers taking 3-69 off 13 overs.
Guiseley made a solid start in reply through skipper Mark Ross (38) and Graeme Wolfenden (18) but despite a fine 46 from Mark Best their effort faded and they had to settle for two points from the draw.
Green Lane have slipped to the bottom of Division A but they took four points from a drawn game with visitors Beckwithshaw.
Opener Nishan Gonsalkorale - the wicketkeeper-batsman formerly with Horsforth - hammered a superb unbeaten 114 after losing his opening partner Craig Chaplin for just five.
Gonsalkorale and Aussie Barry McCormick then steadied things with a stand of 39 before another Aussie Chris Cay joined the Kiwi to put on 164 for the third wicket with Cay making a magnificent 75. Lane finished on 247 for four which posed too many problems for Beckwithshaw.
They managed to hang on for two points with 192 for seven. Simon Barker rescued them with a timely knock of 70 after they had slumped to 39 for four at one stage.
Barker and Ross Knellor (35) then added 79 for the fifth wicket to get them back on the right path.
Hall Park's man of the moment, Michael Elliott, was their top scorer with a mere 28 as they were dismissed for 141 in reply to a massive Steeton total of 275 for seven.
With their Australian Andrew Dalby back home for family reasons, Steeton showed they have other strings to their bow. Opener Ajmal Patankar hit a fine 42 and then Gary Boulton stroked 53 to set the stage for Jonathan Smith to blast a smouldering century.
Smith cracked eight sixes in his 112 as the Hall Park bowlers took some stick.
Peter Weedon took the brunt of the assault as his figures of two for 116 off 19 overs showed. Robert Hodson managed to claim four wickets but at a cost of 70 runs.
Hall Park never got going in reply with Peter Kempton being bowled by Neil Spragg for six soon to be followed by Simon Wilson for 12 and when Jamie Simpson was caught by Patankar off Paul Hardwick for three the writing was certainly on the wall.
Spragg went on to claim four for 40 and Gary Boulton (4-38) as Park were dismissed for 141 just three balls short of securing a point with last man Robert Murphy, who had had the misfortune to pull a hamstring when bowling, being dismissed.
Adel secured four points from a drawn game at home to Follifoot after John Francas had delivered a fine 114 from the number three spot.
He and David Standring - in superb form with a knock of 81 - shared a third wicket stand of 133.
This was built on by Stuart Howie with an unbeaten 41 as Adel coasted to a challenging 268-4.
Follifoot soon lost opener Brian Smart to the bowling of batting hero Francas.
He made just five runs but then Paul Miller (78) and M Halmshaw (65) restored the balance with a second wicket stand of 133. Australian Trent Griffiths went without scoring but then Chris Newton made 35 to keep Follifoot in the hunt .
However, wickets fell cheaply at the other end and from 141 for one they plummeted to 216 for seven holding on for two points. Tim Grey was the most successful of the Adel bowlers with three for 66 off 18 overs.
