Glorious sunshine ensured this year's Riddlesden Gala made record takings.
Organisers are thrilled that takings were up £800 on last year so that a cheque in excess of £2,000 can be presented to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance charity.
Chairman of the Riddlesden Gala committee Craven Towler said: "It was a really successful and enjoyable gala, and we made the highest ever amount thanks to all the people who supported it.
"We are very appreciative of the people who took part in the procession on such a hot day.
"The Hebden Bridge band provided a good marching beat and the Shaw Cross majorettes from Rochdale were also good.
"What with the fancy dress and the uniformed organisations that took part, the procession was a real blaze of colour."
Highlights at the gala itself included music from two bands, a performance by Keighley Scottish Dancing group, music from pupils at St Mary's School, demonstrations from Riddlesden's Tae Kwon Do group and Nick Mann's Magic Show.
Mr Towler continued: "We were blessed with a really glorious day, and it really makes all the difference.
"People come to enjoy themselves and if it's nice weather they want to stay and take part.
"We had lots of entertainments like the bouncy castle, slides and miniature railway. There was lots for everyone.
"We would like to thank all those who supported the event, and I'd like to thank the gala committee for all its wonderful hard work.
"There was a lot of time and effort put in and it really paid off. We will be looking forward to presenting the cheque to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance in the near future."
