Pupils at Lees Primary School had a pharaoh time.
Children from year five enjoyed an Egyptian banquet with traditional cuisine like dates, figs and cucumbers, and they dressed in Egyptian attire they had created themselves.
The day was part of a cross-curriculum event to increase the pupils' understanding and enjoyment of history prior to a visit to the Bagshaw Hall Museum, at Batley.
Dancing to Egyptian reggae and a series of drama activities followed the banquet.
