The family of a well-known amateur rugby star, who was found dead on Wednesday, has said he was one in a million.
Wayne McComb, pictured, of Bracken Bank, was found dead by a neighbour on his 30th birthday at his home.
His brother John said: "He was just a happy-go-lucky person, who lived for the moment and was everybody's friend.
"He was one in a million and got on with absolutely anybody. When he walked into a room he could make anybody laugh and could get on with everyone there."
John said his brother, who was a fitter at Protector Company, started to play rugby when he was nine and took an instant shine to the game.
As scrum half, he played for Worth Village, Keighley Town, Silsden Park Rangers and Keighley Albion, and had trials with several professional teams, including Bradford Bulls and a handful of games for Keighley Cougars.
John added: "Rugby was something he really loved.
"Once he got the ball no-one could stop him. People reckoned he was the best amateur from Keighley and he was recognised to play for his county."
John echoed his family's feelings, when he said he would be missed by them all.
"It just hasn't hit home yet. But he will be sadly missed. When you remember him it will all be good things," he added.
Wayne, who had five children, aged between five and 13, had three brothers and a sister as well as his father, James, and mother Shirley. His funeral is due to take place next week.
His death came in mysterious circumstances. Wayne, who had been celebrating his birthday, called at his neighbour's before returning home.
The neighbour, who was concerned for his safety, forced open the property.
