A HELLIFIELD mechanic reaches a momentous milestone tomorrow (Saturday) which will earn him the key to the door.
Barclay Bower celebrates his 21st on the 21st, and the occasion has added prominence as it coincides with the coming of age of the nation's future King, Prince William.
In contrast to Wills' prestigious party planned for this weekend, Barclay, of Lancashire and Yorkshire Terrace, will celebrate with a quiet family meal followed by a few drinks in Skipton with friends.
He said that every year since his schooldays people have pointed out that he shares his birthday with the prince.
His mum said Barclay was born at 6am and came into the world two weeks prematurely in a bid to share his birthday with one of the country's most prominent people.
"Me and Princess Diana went through the same pains but I gave birth to Barclay first," she exclaimed.
During the day Barclay works as a mechanic for Mark Eccleston, at Switchers Farm, Hellifield, but his spare time is taken up with truck racing at venues around Britain and Europe.
