A prestigious £10 million office complex is set to be built in the heart of Bradford.
Landmark Development Projects today revealed details of the complex which is planned for a site in Mill Street, close to Forster Square.
The 40,000 sq ft office block will be designed according to the needs of its occupants and will boast an 'A grade' specification and secure car parking.
And the agents for the complex, to be known as Phoenix Place, have already reported a surge of interest in the scheme. The announcement follows the successful letting of No 1 the Interchange, Landmark's most recent office development in the city. It has been snapped up by the Inland Revenue and the development, next to the Interchange, is expected to house 400 staff.
Landmark director Richard Morton said the success of No 1 the Interchange had convinced the Leeds-based firm to continue its investment in Bradford.
He was confident the location of Phoenix Place, close to Forster Square railway station and retail park, would prove attractive.
"Landmark is committed to driving business into Bradford and our involvement in yet another first-class office scheme proves our confidence and dedication to the city," he said.
"We will be investing £10 million into Phoenix Place and are confident that the office scheme will attract some big-name businesses to the area.
"The recent uptake of No1 The Interchange proves that bespoke, purpose-built office schemes are in great demand and we are confident that Phoenix Place will prove just as popular."
And John McNeill, senior surveyor at agents GVA Grimley, said: "There is a shortage of quality office development within Bradford City Centre but the recent letting at No 1 the Interchange has demonstrated that if the product is right, major tenants will be attracted to the city," he said. "Even at this early stage, we are talking to several parties who have expressed interest in Phoenix Place."
Landmark has invested heavily in Bradford, including several city centre living schemes and the business park planned for West Bowling Golf Club.
