The funeral of tragic cricketer Richard Smith was taking place in Bingley today.
Mr Smith, 29, from Eccleshill collapsed after scoring 98 in a match for Queensbury in the Trinity Insurance Halifax League on Saturday June 14.
He went off feeling unwell and was later found collapsed on the clubhouse floor.
Efforts to resuscitate him failed and he was pronounced dead upon arrival at hospital.
The family has requested that instead of flowers donations should be sent to the British Heart Foundation.
His death was in similar circumstances to that of his father, David, who also collapsed and died after playing cricket - for Crossflatts - 18 years ago when he was 47.
The service, at All Saints Parish Church, Bingley, where Mr Smith was christened, was followed by cremation at Nab Wood.
