A nationally acclaimed Keighley scheme has won a royal seal of approval, for the second time.
The Russell Street Project, which provides mainly vocational training for several hundred students each year, has received the Duke of York Community Initiative Award.
Project director Dick Taylor was presented with the coveted prize by the Prince.
Also at the ceremony, in York, were Russell Street's project administrator Helen Desort and board of directors' chairman Helen Smith.
The project -- which from next month will be offering around 50 courses, including several new ones -- won the same award about two years ago.
Mr Taylor said: "To achieve the award once is a great honour, but to repeat that success is brilliant.
"You have to undergo a rigorous assessment and your achievements are measured against the objectives you set previously. If you don't accomplish what you aimed to achieve, you are not eligible for the award."
The Russell Street Project has continued to grow since it opened in 1997 and new courses this year will cover subjects ranging from entry-level plumbing to upholstery. For further information about the full programme of courses phone 01535 692050 or e-mail admin@rsproject.co.uk.
