A Haworth man is urging local artists to display work at a Hebden Bridge pub following the success of his own exhibition.
Chris McCarthy's summer exhibition has been extended for another month due to its popularity with customers at the New Delight.
"It's particularly popular with younger visitors who appear fascinated by the bright colours and interlaced shapes of my Celtic-based paintings," he says.
Ill health stopped Chris holding a traditional preview night before the exhibition, so he held a "review" party last Saturday instead.
Chris adds: "The New Delight has become my favourite venue over the years.
"Its policy of showcasing modern and contemporary works instead of the usual village scenes is proving to be a winning formula.
"I would recommend any contemporary local artists to book soon to exhibit at this lovely venue."
The New Delight can be contacted on 01422 846178. Chris' own exhibition closes just after the August Bank Holiday.

nAfter its successful dance reworking of the Emily Bront classic Wuthering Heights, Northern Ballet Theatre has now turned to Shakespeare for inspiration.
The company is to stage a version of the enchanting comedy A Midsummer Night's Dream. Director David Nixon transports the audience into a real ballet world where the romantic entanglements of a 1940s touring dance company are played out one midsummer night on the London to Edinburgh sleeper train. As the journey begins they are taken into a nocturnal realm of familiar faces in extraordinary, often baffling, new relationships.
A Midsummer Night's Dream is at the West Yorkshire Playhouse on September 5-13. For details ring 0113 2137700.
