These pupils of Eastwood School put on a Victory tableau in 1945, possibly during Thanksgiving Week that October, when Keighley celebrated with Victory Balls, a Monster Children's Party, a Schools' Festival and a Celebrity Concert in the Ritz Cinema.
Their costumes represent civilian as well as Forces' characters, including a Land Army girl, a farmer, a munitions worker and an engineer.
The photograph has been supplied by Mrs Paddy Blowes, of Granby Drive, Riddlesden. She can name all the children.
Back row, from left to right: Vera Slater, Brian Newiss, Tom Slater, Geoffrey Carr, David Nowell, Brian Pugh, Paddy Squires and Catherine Taylor.
Middle row: Marie Spencer, Jack Sunderland, Joan Bolton, Freda Rhodes, David Seeley and Doreen Croad.
Front row: Barry Ayto, Jack Martin and Colin Holt, with Margaret Maxwell as the nurse at the very front.
The photographer was William Speight, a freelance who supplied prints to the Keighley News, though strict wartime restrictions meant that few could be published at this period.
