Golfer Jack Emmott chalked up his second county title on Tuesday - 41 years after his first.
Jack, who is 67 today, shot a level par 70 at Harrogate Golf Club to win the Yorkshire Seniors championship. He also picked up a trophy as winner of the Yorkshire Veterans championship for over 65s.
The Seniors event should have been played over 36 holes, but Monday's round was abandoned due to torrential rain as Jack reached the first green.
He has won the Bradford Veterans title for the two years since he reached the age qualification, and would like to make this year doubly memorable by also winning the Bradford Seniors.
His last county title was as Yorkshire Under-25s Youth Champion back in 1962.
Jack, who started playing golf as a 12-year-old, became a member at Keighley in 1950. Now playing off five handicap, he was a scratch golfer in his 20s.
During a sparkling career he played for the England Youth team in 1957, represented Yorkshire 18 times and Bradford many times. He won the Bradford Open in 1957 and the Bradford Amateur championship in 1958.
In 1961 he reached the semi-final of the English Amateur Championship at Wentworth, and in 1966 won the Yorkshire Foursomes with fellow Keighley member Roger Mitchell. He also played for Keighley in the Bradford League, and was a member of the team which won the team championship three times.
