RICHARD HEWITT club secretary of Oakworth Juniors took centre stage at the Mellennium Stadium in Cardiff as Manchester United drew with Arsenal in the Community Shield.
Richard was one of just 10 national winners of the Football Workforce awards. He was invited to the Millennium Stadium by the Football Association and and was presented with his award in front of the packed stands at half time.
The awards were launched by the FA to recognise the work of volunteers at every level of the game.
