Lee Radford is relishing the opportunity to get one over on close pal Paul Cooke during tomorrow's crucial clash against his former club.

The Hull-born second row was signed from tomorrow's opponents four years ago and said: "I've played with the likes of Cooke (Paul Cooke), Paul King and Richard Horne and I now coach with Paul at East Hull amateurs.

"He's my assistant there so it would be nice to get one over on him."

Currently on nine tries, Radford has already quadrupled his previous season's best tally.

The in-form 24-year-old said of the clash against Shaun McRae's side, who currently lie fifth in Super League: "The game means a lot to me because everybody from Hull will be watching, all my friends and family, so I can't wait.

"The majority of my mates are Hull fans and being there as a kid, I know a lot of their lads."

Following a gruelling schedule which has seen the Bulls play four games in the space of 12 days - and emerge victorious in each one - Radford believes the Bulls are ready to do it all again tomorrow.

"It's obviously been hard in the last couple of weeks," added Radford, "but we need the two points a lot more than Hull because we want to stay top of the table."

Following the last victory against Leeds in May, the Bulls went on to lose their next three home games, although harsh lessons, it seems, have now been learned.

"We appreciate that we can't let our foot off the gas now with the play-offs just around the corner," said Radford.
