Furniture will be sold at rock-bottom prices at a community furniture scheme in Windhill, Shipley.

The sale of donated furniture will run for one week only, from Monday, September 1, until Thursday, September 4.

Windhill Community Furn-iture Store in Crag Road, collects donated furniture and sells it at a low cost to people who are on low incomes.

Throughout the sale, prices will be slashed by at least five per cent, but many items will be reduced by much more.

Anyone on benefits who wants to buy the furniture can get another 20 per cent discount off items which cost more than £10.

They will need to prove they are on benefits to receive the discount, which could add up to as much as 25 per cent off the original price.

But the sale is open to anyone, whether they be on benefits or not, live locally or further away. A small charge will be made to cover delivery.

The shop is open from 9.30am until 2.30pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, and on Wednesday and Thursday from 9.30am until 12pm.
