A woman who died after a motorbike smash in Liversedge has been named.
The dead woman was Sarah Brown of Fifth Avenue West, Hightown, Liversedge. The 29-year-old was riding as a pillion passenger when the motorbike appeared to have gone out of control on a bend 125 metres from the British Oak pub in Halifax Road, police said.
The rider, aged 27, was badly injured and was taken to hospital. His injuries are not to be believed to be life-threatening and he is currently under arrest in hospital on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
A 15-year-old local youth was also arrested for allegedly attempting to pervert the course of justice and was released on bail pending further inquiries.
