Darren Gough seemed to come through his 'fitness test' without mishap yesterday at Undercliffe.
The former England paceman was playing for his county in a Bradford League centenary match and bowled eight overs in what proved a thrilling contest.
Gough conceded 41 runs in Yorkshire's one-run victory, but county coach Kevin Sharp said: "Darren has just had some treatment after a knee injury and we hope he will be available for our matches against Glamorgan at Colwyn Bay next week."
Sharp had words of praise for opening bat Chris Taylor after his 111 for Yorkshire.
He said: "Chris has done well all year and has been a bit unlucky.
"We have two overseas players this year, one of whom, Stephen Fleming, is an opening bat, so it has been difficult, but Chris's chance will come."
