About 300 workers at Metal Box in Shipley staged an unofficial tea-break strike yesterday over delays in negotiations for canteen improvements. However a compromise was reached and the tea trolley service, which had been suspended by the management, was put on again until the works manager comes back from holiday, according to Mr Terry Farrer, Amalgamated Union of Engineering Workers joint shop stewards convenor.
