Thankyou to everybody who made the trip to Barrow last weekend. I was talking to one of their supporters after the game who said we were the best supported team that has visited Craven Park this year.
The game was a typically tough one, as you would expect in Cumbria. I was sat close to Oliver Wilkes' Gran, Mum and sister - "get off our Olly" was the call of the day.
Olly was in the thick of the action as usual reliving past memories and having one or two discussions with pals from his homeland. One thing's for sure, he was sporting the biggest grin in Cumbria (among one or two bruises) after the final hooter.
There's nothing like winning on home soil, eh Olly!
Once again we had our usual breakfast stop on the journey to Barrow. On the way to London David 'Farmer' Marshall ordered the full works for the non-playing staff.
On our return from the capital 'Farmer' informed the office staff that some of the lads had extra mushrooms, eggs, etc and there was no money left!
The cat was let out of the bag when my 'Diary' appeared in the KN.
This time we had the blessing of Mr spencer to tuck in. Scott Parkin ate his beans on toast then decided he was still a bit peckish and ordered an "Olympic Breakfast." Farmer spotted this and informed me that Scotty was tucking in.
I reminded him that he was in charge of the food and if he wasn't happy he should have a quiet word with the 6ft 3in, 17-stone Kiwi.
Farmer thought a for a second and announced: "The lad must be hungry, best leave him to it."
A wise decision Farmer.
We complete our home league programme this weekend and Sheffield have taken the spoils off us twice this year, which sets the scene for a great game as we attempt to continue on the winning trail.
The club has made great strides under the new regime and it would be great to see the season's biggest crowd to get behind the team - I know they will be giving a superhuman effort.
The season is still very much alive, please get down on Sunday and get behind the lads, we need your support.
