Cougars coach Gary Moorby is hoping to have an unchanged side for the crunch game against Sheffield tomorrow. The only slight doubt is veteran hooker Jason Ramshaw who has a calf strain.
Moorby is confident that Ramshaw will be able to play despite having not trained this week. He said: "Other than Jason we will be at full strength. This is a big game for us as is every game at this stage of the season. But a win tomorrow will almost certainly guarantee us second place and, of course, our ultimate aim is to finish top."
Sheffield have beaten Keighley twice this season, by a point in the Challenge Cup and then inflicting a heavy defeat in the league, and this has added to the squad's determination.
Moorby added: "We've played them twice now and know exactly what to expect. We've done our homework, watched the tapes and hopefully prepared the squad as well as possible.
"We will go into this match as underdogs after the way Sheffield beat us on their ground, but that should inspire our players.
"We need the people of Keighley to get behind us. It would be great to have a good crowd at Cougar Park tomorrow. I think the lads deserve it, especially for the commitment shown in the last two weeks."
Sheffield call up Peter Reilly, Jordan James and Jon Breakingberry into their squad to travel, with boss Mark Aston pinning his hopes on centre Tony Weller's recovery from a calf strain.
"Last week's defeat at Chorley was a wake-up call for the players," said Aston, who was sin-binned against Lynx.
Keighley Cougars (probable): M Foster; Tomlinson, D Foster, Wainwright, Robinson; Mitchell, Firth; Stephenson, Ramshaw, Merville, Sinfield, Durham, Wilkes. Subs (from): Rushforth, Helliwell, Patterson, Ekis, Parkin, Ashton.
