Forgotten man Paul Reid has seen a foot specialist to solve the mystery of his troubled toes.
The frustrated City midfielder is out of action after dislocating a toe in a pre-season friendly against Farsley Celtic. He suffered the same injury last season but on the other foot.
Reid admitted: "It's an unusual injury anyway so to happen on both feet is completely bizarre. I've never heard of it affecting anyone else.
"Hopefully the specialist can work out where the problem stems from. It could be anything causing it like the footwear I'm wearing or just the way I walk.
"But I've never had this before. In fact all through my career I've been injury free until I got to Bradford and since then it's been one thing after another."
The 24-year-old made seven starts last season after bursting on the scene with two long-range goals on his home debut against Norwich.
Reid, who signed a one-year deal in the summer, said: "People call me a one-hit wonder but I don't want to be regarded as that. I want to get that Norwich monkey off my back.
"I know that I'm a good enough player and hopefully I can play regularly in the Bradford line-up once these injuries are out of the way.
"I played every week in Australia and only had one major injury, a broken ankle. Maybe it's adjusting to full-time football that has caused the problem but hopefully this will now be the start of better times for me."
