Karl Pratt was today hoping to be passed fit to continue his comeback from injury in Monday's clash at Wigan.

The utility player returned from a torn shoulder capsule to feature at scrum half during last week's win against Hull.

And he is now aiming to maintain his place in a Bulls side who cross the Pennines in search of a ninth successive Super League win.

Pratt said: "It felt good to be back after I had missed the previous six matches.

"The lads did well during the period that we had a lot of players out, so to come back into the side and get a result was great.

"I was a bit rusty after six weeks out but you take the positives from it and hopefully I will be fit again for Monday.

"I've been doing weights and fitness work but we will have to see how my shoulder is."

Pratt is desperate is stay in the side as the Bulls approach the closing stage of the season, with players looking to cement their play-off places.

He said: "Now is the time of the season when you need to be putting your hand up in the team.

"Wigan are sneaking up there and we've got to be on our guard. I think Wigan could even get second.

"There are still some big games to go and some really important games which will decide where each side will finish in the league."

And 23-year-old Pratt boldly declared: "I think we will finish top. It depends if Leeds can pick themselves up and turn the corner, but I think Wigan will push them all the way and it will be interesting towards that back end of the season."

Pratt marked out Wigan's youngsters, who, like several Bulls Academy stars, have emerged on to the scene and made a telling impact.

"Luke Robinson, Martin Aspinwall and Danny Sculthorpe are great players but if you look throughout their team, it doesn't matter - Wigan are Wigan and they have always had a quality side," said Pratt.

The Bulls will train today and along with Pratt, Brian Noble will check the fitness of Lesley Vainikolo (knee), Jimmy Lowes (sore leg), Leon Pryce (sternum) and Paul Deacon (hamstring) ahead of Monday's clash.
