A terrified Batley motorist was injured after being run over in a road rage incident in Bradford.
During the attack in Bierley, in which the 31-year-old victim suffered cuts to his hand and bruises and swelling to his arm, the man's car was also smashed up by his attacker.
And a samosa, thrown by the assailant, has been sent away for DNA analysis.
A police spokesman said the victim, from Batley, was driving his Volkswagen Golf along Dawson Lane in Bierley and the attacker was coming the opposite way in a yellow/gold Volkswagen Passat, waiting to turn right.
As the complainant drove towards the vehicle, the other driver began to turn right, almost causing a collision.
The complainant drove past the other man, who threw a half-eaten samosa through his car window.
The complainant drove on, stopped about 100 yards further on and got out, at which point the other driver turned his car around and drove directly at him, hitting him and flinging him on to the bonnet of the Passat.
The attacker then reversed in a second attempt to run down his victim, who scrambled to a nearby garden.
He hid there while the other man used a monkey wrench to smash his car windows, causing £2,500 damage, before getting back into his car and driving off at speed.
The attacker was described as Asian, 35 years old, 5ft 6in tall, of chubby or stocky build, with jet black, short hair, wearing a baggy orange/yellow T-shirt, blue jeans and trainers.
Police officers took the samosa to be examined for DNA evidence.
The spokesman said there were a number of other vehicles in the vicinity at the time of the incident, but the complainant was too shaken up to take details from any of them.
The attack happened between 6pm and 6.10pm on Monday. Any witnesses or anyone with information should contact police at Odsal on (01274) 376459 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
