Hundreds of children from Bradford are hoping to say the famous words: "Tonight Matthew, I'm going to be..."

More than 200 youngsters have signed up to audition for the next series of Kids Stars in Their Eyes, the junior version of the hit show hosted by Matthew Kelly.

Auditions will be held at St. George's Hall, Bradford, on Friday, from 9am, when five winners will qualify for the next live round.

The talented five will perform at the Bradford venue again in October in front of a live audience who will vote for their favourite winner to audition with ITV.

Auditions are being held at 20 locations across the country.

Among the Bradford hopefuls are three students, pictured, at the JW School of Dance, based at The Priestley centre in Little Germany.

"I'm really excited because I don't know anyone in Bradford who has been on it and it's a big chance," said Nikkita Flavius, 15, from Wisbey.

The girls will transform into R&B group Honeyz and sing top ten hit End of the Line.

"We have been watching the show on TV and haven't seen Honeyz being done yet. The girls sing it well," said Josi Flavius, Nikkita's mother and founder of the dance school.

The girls are confident of their success.

"We have put in a lot of work and will do our best," said Janine Foster, 16.

Janine James, 13, is looking forward to coming out from behind the famous doors of the TV show, transformed into her musical character.

Among hundreds of other under-16-year-olds hoping to represent Bradford will be Adam Lazenby, 14, of Wyke, singing Eric Clapton's Tears in Heaven.
