NINE years of dedicated training with his local judo club have brought their rewards for 16 year-old rising star Adam Firth.
The Guiseley School pupil has become the Airedale and Wharfedale Judo Club's youngest ever black belt holder and he has also represented Great Britain.
He went along to the Aireborough Leisure Centre with friends nine years ago and his interest has outlasted theirs!
Adam has represented Great Britain in many countries including France, Germany, Holland and Belgium.
He is now looking forward to the National Championships to be held at Crystal Palace in November. He has only one aim in sight - winning the national title.
Adam has been joined at the Airedale and Wharfedale club by his 13 year-old sister Sara - a fellow pupil at Guiseley School - who has the grade of 9th Mon.
