THE Airedale and Wharfedale Bowls Association Singles Merits programme continues with the introduction of the floodlit section on Monday and Tuesday, September 8 and 9. Preliminary round games are to be played at Guiseley, Farsley and Pudsey Ltd, commencing at 6.45pm. The finals will be played at Rufford BC on Thursday, September 11.
The team cup competitions also continue with the preliminary round of the Dobson Challenge Shield on Sunday, August 31.
Idle B play Ilkley at Menston; Dacre Banks play Yeadon Park B at Greenbottom; Myrtle Park B play Tarnfield A at Yeadon Park; Burley-in-Wharfedale B play Wharfemeadows at Myrtle Park; Greenbottom B play Pateley Bridge B at Tarnfield and Baildon B play Wharfemeadows B at Ilkley. All games start at 2.30pm.
The Jennings Crackles Team Competition also starts on Sunday, August 31, with the preliminary round.
Knaresborough Thistle play Burley-in-Wharfedale A at Northcliffe; Idle play Shipley Club B at Burley-in-Wharfedale; Pateley Bridge play Greenbottom A at Idle; Yeadon Park A play Wharfemeadows A at Pateley Bridge; Baildon A play Northcliffe at Shipley Club and Whinswood play The Oak at Knaresborough. All games commence at 2.30pm.
