Mark Paston has shrugged aside interest from Premiership clubs and coolly insisted: "I am just staying focused on doing well for Bradford."
The City keeper was handed a two-year contract by Nicky Law last month after an impressive trial spell.
And following an injury to Alan Combe, the one-capped New Zealand international has claimed the No 1 jersey in impressive style, leading a number of top-flight clubs to closely monitor his performances.
Twenty-six-year-old Paston confessed: "Some people have told me about the interest but I have still only played three or four games at this level and have got a lot to learn.
"I need to continue working hard at the game and then who knows what the future may bring?"
Mark Schwarzer came to City in 1996 and was sold to Middlesbrough just three months later for £1.5million following a string of highly impressive performances between the posts.
But Paston played down such illustrious comparisons, saying: "I am not thinking that far down the track and am just enjoying my time here at Bradford.
"It's all a bit of a blur at the moment and is happening so quickly. Playing in front of 30,000 people at West Ham was a real buzz and I'm really loving every minute of it."
City boss Law is equally delighted.
"All of a sudden, there is a lot of interest in Mark from Premiership clubs and I think that stands us in good stead," he said. "The club won't panic now and let him go for £200,000 or £300,000 on a panic sell.
"It would have to be right and the money would have to be right and that's obviously pleasing from my point of view - knowing that we aren't going to lose him for the wrong reasons."
The City boss also expressed words of encouragement for forgotten man Combe, saying: "Nobody at the moment - including Alan - can complain about Mark being in the team. Alan is obviously concerned and disappointed but I want him to be - but in the right way.
"I want him to go out there and show the right attitude in training because when the opportunity comes along - and it will come along for one reason or another - when he steps in there, he can give a good account of himself.
"Alan is a professional and he knows when he gets the chance he has got to take it with both hands."
Law added: "Nobody is guaranteed a place but it will make Alan come back even stronger."
City's match at Coventry a week tomorrow has been postponed due to international call-ups.
The Sky Blues have had Michael Doyle and Graham Barrett called up for the Republic of Ireland under-21s, David Pipe for Wales under-21s, Yazid Mansouri for Algeria, Youssef Safri for Morocco and Mo Konjic for Bosnia.
The match has been re-arranged for Wednesday, November 5 (7.45).
