Keighley missed their chance to further close the gap on Bradford and Bingley in the upper echelons of Bradford League Division Two table during their match with Salts on Saturday.
They could only battle to a one point losing draw against a mid-table Salts side as the battle to claim second spot continues apace.
Batting first, Salts opener S Ahmed hit a dogged 81 to keep the scorer busy as the rest of his team struggled with the bat.
S Reape and R Towler were the main wicket takers for Keighley with three apeice as Salts put on 186-9 from their overs.
In reply, only Mark Beckett and Robert Hopkinson in the middle order made any headway with the bat scoring 28 and 34 respectively.
But Keighley have a chance of full points at Brighouse tomorrow.
