Six people needed hospital treatment after a road accident early today.
A Toyota Avensis taxi and a Rover car collided at about 12.45am at the junction of Haworth Avenue and Swainhouse Road in Five Lane Ends, Bradford.
Six people were taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary. Two had been cut from the taxi by firefighters.
The 45-year-old male taxi driver and his 20-year-old female passenger suffered serious injuries and are in Intensive Care. Two other male taxi passengers, aged 20 and 19, had minor injuries.
An 18-year-old male in the Rover suffered serious facial injuries and a 19-year-old male had minor injuries.
Fire appliances from Idle, Bradford and Shipley attended the incident. The two vehicles ended up on a grass verge and police cordoned off the road.
