A Bradford man who set up his own computer business after years of working for major firms in the south has won his first major contract.
Andrew Hirst, managing director of Sophistyx Computing, has signed a deal to service computers at Bradford City Football Club.
And he's hoping it's the first of many deals for the firm he set up at his Clayton Heights home.
Mr Hirst, 36, returned to his home city after working for a number of major firms in the south, but became frustrated by the rapid turnover of staff and lack of job security.
The new firm offers a wide range of services from repairing PCs to developing bespoke software.
And Mr Hirst is enjoying the challenge of running his own firm.
"Working for yourself can be the best job and the worst job because you are never able to switch off," he said.
