Comeback specialists Holme Wood did it again against previously unbeaten Fairweather Green when they trailed 2-1 but ran out 3-2 winners in the Bradford Sunday Alliance Premier Division.
The side had already shocked Bolton Woods and Queensbury with excellent fightbacks.
This time, Fairweather Green were leading 2-1 a minute into the second half. But Andrew Moulden, who missed an early penalty, scored twice in the win that gives Holme Wood three wins our of four.
Equally impressive is the other promoted side's start to the division - Pudsey Royal. Following their midweek win at Oakenshaw, they drew 2-2 at East Bowling Unity.
Champions Albion Sports are the new division leaders after a fright at Queens Athletic with Dave Booth making an excellent debut in defence. Queens went 2-0 up before Albion recovered to win 3-2, Nicky Hird scoring the winner.
Oakenshaw and East Ward collected their first points. Oakenshaw, including a goal from new signing Paul Sweeney, beat Bolton Woods 3-0 and East Ward shared the points with Calverley in a 2-2 draw.
In Division One, Westwood's encouraging start continued with a 3-0 win at Queensbury Reserves. And finishing the stronger, Heaton United got their first points in the division with a 4-1 win over Wibsey WMC. Zulfigar Rafiq's goal was the pick.
Relegated Bradford Moor recorded their first win in the division going nap without reply at Clayton Orient.
In Division 1A, after missing out last week when the goal posts hadn't been put up, Quarry won their opening match 3-2 against Hudsons. Carl Bartley's goal direct from a corner settled the game after Hudsons had cancelled out Damien Watkin's two goals in 20 minutes start.
Victoria Rangers were 3-0 down at half-time but staged a second-half recovery through two-goal Andy Burrows. Then they were edged out 3-2 by visitors Baildon Trinity.
After strengthening with a couple of signings from Premier club East Ward, Move It Removals are not making a big impression as visitors Idle encouraged by defensive frailties won 5-0.
The match between St Pat's and Undercliffe CC was abandoned after 42 minutes with injury to Steve Daykin.
In Division 1B, youngster Andy Atkinson, Buttershaw White Star's summer signing from Queensbury, got the winner with his second goal in a 3-2 win at Ventus. White Eagles' young side made it two wins from two with a 4-1 win at Fairweather Green Junction. Wibsey WMC's scratch reserve side were toppled 7-3 by Ring O'Bells, Shipley.
Royal Clayton and Woodman shared the points in a 2-2 draw after Clayton, down to ten men, let slip a 2-0 against Woodman's.
In Division 2A, Bradford Park Avenue Rangers took three points from Farmers winning 2-0. Danny Brown and Raphael Roberts were both on target for Rangers.
Frank Owczerek and Billy Swaitek hit the back of the net for Eccleshill. Opponents New Inn (Wyke) could only reply with one goal.
Silsden had a good 8-3 win over Saltaire Rangers, Michael Rosser leading Silsden's scoring with a hat-trick. Saltaire Rangers answered with goals from Brent Netzler and Phil Jozefer.
Ben Gallon of Hare & Hounds scored at both ends as his team beat Thornton Rangers 3-1. Gary Boldy scored the other two.
Fountain overcame Bishop Rovers with goals from Simon Whittle and Jon King. Bishop Rovers replied with a single strike.
In Division 2B, an own goal separated Oakworth Juniors and Woodman Rovers Reserves. Oakworth won 4-3.
Ventus Sports had a convincing 5-0 win over Towngate Athletic. Ventus's five goals came from Joseph Stecyk, John France, Craig Murray, Chris Drake and Gulfraz Satti.
Keighley Junior Howard Wellwood scored a hat-trick in an easy 6-0 win over Park Hotel.
Woodlands overcame Jack and Jill with a 3-2 victory.
Chellow B were overwhelmed by an on-form Prince of Wales side who scored seven goals. The brothers Moorhouse (Paul and Lee) both bagged a brace with team-mates Charlie White, Lennie Worby and Andy McGill all beating the Chellow keeper.
